Explores the nurse leader’s role as change agent in a dynamic healthcare environment. Learners apply a powerful framework for understanding and marshalling change in healthcare settings. By focusing on strategies used across various industries and applying Six Sigma principles, learners harness powerful resources critical to heralding, contributing to, fostering, and/or leading change within healthcare systems. In their role as change agent, learners focus on understanding organizational culture, the value of employing persuasive communication, simplifying organizational structures, and focusing on individual and collective performance management, as aligned with various outcomes and organizational priorities, Learners will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge in a practice setting.
