Students in bachelor's degree programs can develop additional skills by pursuing a minor in a second area of study. Minors are groups of five courses that provide a foundation in selected areas. These five courses would satisfy five of the course requirements in the Elective Component of the bachelor's degree program. Requirements for a minor are a minimum of five courses (22.5 quarter credit hours) beyond any required courses in the Major, Concentration or General Education Core in the program. As coursework is completed for the bachelor's degree, courses in the selected minor would be taken to fulfill elective requirements. Students may not apply the same course to satisfy the requirements in the Minor, Major, Concentration, or General Education Core. Students must declare a minor during the graduation application process.
