EDU 539 Ethical and Social Impacts of Technology in Education
This course provides a critical review of the ethics and social responsibility behind the integration of technology into learning systems. Provides learners with current education practices and policies related to technology integration, to help determine what level of support these policies provide regardless of student population. Learners examine legal standards for fair use of materials, digital citizenship, authenticating sources with emphasis on critical examination of social/cultural implications of technologies, media, cultural bias, equity, international applications, and implications of educational technologies.
