Accreditation

Strayer University is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission) www.msche.org. Strayer University's accreditation status is accreditation reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status in June 2017 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States. Strayer University is undergoing Self-Study Evaluation with the Commission and will host an evaluation visit for reaffirmation of accreditation in Fall 2025.  The Commission “seeks to provide a meaningful opportunity for interested parties to provide information about an institution while it is under review.”  The Commission offers the opportunity to submit third-party comments regarding Strayer University’s compliance with standards for accreditation, requirements of affiliation, policies and procedures, and applicable federal regulatory requirements.  To submit Comments, visit the Commission’s Third-Party Comments page.
