Federal Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements

The general requirements for receipt of federal financial funds include:

• Financial need (except for some loan programs);
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizenship;
• Social Security Number;
• Registration with Selective Service, if applicable;
• Enrollment in an eligible academic program. Federal Educational Loan participants must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis;
• Maintenance of satisfactory academic progress (see below);
