Accreditation and Certification

Accreditation assures that the university is recognized as a credible institution of learning, that it maintains recognized and approved courses of study, that it employs competent faculty and staff, that it has adequate facilities and equipment and that the organizational structure is appropriate and stable.

Strayer University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The Commission, an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, is located at 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, 267-284-5000, http://www.msche.org. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaffirmed the university’s accreditation in June 2017, with the next self-study evaluation scheduled for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Strayer University business degree programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), 11520 West 119th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213, 913-339-9356.

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree program is accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) through June 24, 2020. Upon expiration of TEAC accreditation, the M.Ed. program will no longer have programmatic accreditation; however, this does not affect the university’s institutional accreditation. Strayer continues to hold institutional accreditation by its regional accrediting agency, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Students who graduate from the M.Ed. program will graduate from a regionally accredited institution. TEAC, now part of the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation, is located at 2010 Massachusetts Ave, NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036, 202-223-0077.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing program at Strayer University is accredited by the Commission on College Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.
