Student Body Diversity

The student body at Strayer University reflects the cultural diversity of the metropolitan areas where the campuses are located. Through its online program, the University attracts students from all 50 states and worldwide. In addition, the strength of its curricula attracts a student population of various ages, a majority of whom are working adults.

As of winter quarter 2018, the university's student body had the following demographics. Students aged 31 years or older account for approximately 64% of the student body, students aged 23-30 constitute 30% and traditional college age students (under 23) constitute 6%. The percentage of female students constitutes slightly more than 66% of the student body.

Additionally, as of spring term 2018, eighty-seven percent (87%) of students were studying part-time to balance the rest of their obligations. The average age was 34, with only 6% younger than 23 years old.
