2018-2019 Catalog

Second Bachelor’s Degree

Students seeking a second bachelor’s degree must complete all courses required for each program and must complete a minimum of 234.0 quarter credit hours (52 courses) to earn both degrees. Note that this is a minimum of 54.0 quarter credit hours (12 courses) more than is required to complete the first bachelor’s degree. If a course is listed as a requirement in Area II (to include the Major Component and Concentration Component) in both programs, an equivalent course must be substituted and taken in its place for the second degree. Courses taken in Area I and Area III may apply to both programs and substitutions are not required. No more than 9.0 quarter credit hours (2 courses) may be substituted in the second major. Students must complete a second capstone for the second degree program. Students are not eligible to earn a second bachelor's degree within the same discipline. If the second program requires the same capstone course as the first, this program may not be combined with the first to complete a second bachelor's degree.
